The exhibition is a joint project of artists and curators united by the idea of solidarity with Ukraine during Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine.

The concept develops around Ukrainian photography, which focuses on people as the main object of its research. The name of the project is borrowed from the famous poem of the Ukrainian poet Vasyl Simonenko: «You know that you are a person» (1962), which is a kind of anthem of life.

At Kultursymposium Weimar 2023, the works of 23 Ukrainian photographers are presented together with the video works of 10 Berlin artists. The exhibition was curated by Kateryna Filyuk and Rachel Rits-Volloch.
